Mulnayak: 30 cms. high, white - colored idol of Bhagawan ,
Parshvanath in the Padmasana Posture.
Tirth: It
is in the center of the village Varkana.
Historicity: In ancient times, Varkana was a prosperous and
large city. This tirth was renovated by merchants of Shrimalpur in the times of king
Kumbha. Caught in clutches of time, these splendid temples were demolished. The idol of
Varchana Parwhvanath is very ancient. From the ground, it was found by a Shephered. In the
year 1211 of the Vikram era, this splendid temple was build and the idol of the Mulnayak
was installed in it. The last renovation was accomplished in the year 1981 of the Vikram
era and the idol was reinstalled in the year 2014 of the Vikram era. One bows down to
Bhagwan Varkana Parshvanath in the twelfth verse of Sakal - tirth - vandana of
Rai Pratikramana, A big fair is held on the tenth day of the dark half of the month of
Madsar every year.
Other Temples: There are no other temples.
Works of art and Sculpture: The art of the idol here has a special
significance. The sculpture on the summits presents an extraordinary illustration of art.
There is an attractive painting of a howdah on the elephant, the gate to the square in
front of the temple. The big havelci of the king is in front of the temple. The big haveli
of the king in front of the temple there is the kings haveli which houses, beautiful
horses.
Guidelines: Rani, the nearest railway station, is 3 Kilometers
and Falna is at distance of 20 kilometers. Bus service and Private vehicles are easily
available. There are boarding and lodging provisions.
