Bhagawan Mahavir Swami in the Padmasana Posture.
Tirth: It is at a distance of 5 Kilometers from the
Dhanerav village.
Historicity: There is no mention of antiquity of this temple.
But it is regarded to be very ancient. The last renovation was accomplished in the year
2022 vikram era and the idol was installed. Once the king of Udaipur came
here on a pilgrimage. While he was going to make mark of pigment on
forehead, he saw a mustache hair in the bowl of saffron and in fun he said
to the worshipper in the temple, "It seems that God has mustaches". And
the worshipper who was devoted to God said, "Yes, God can assume various
forms as He wishes." The obstinate king said, "I will stay here for three
days. I want to see Mahavir with mustaches." Gratified with the worship of the
devoted worshipper, Mahavir with mustaches, appeared to the king. Therefore, this idol
came to be called Muchhala Mahavir. Even today many miraculous events happen here. A fair
is held here every year on the thirteenth day of the month of Chaitra. This tirth belongs
to the group of the five Godval tirths.
Other Temples: At present, there is no other temple.
Works of art and Sculpture: This is a delightful temple surrounded by hills. It
is ancient and beautiful. The open squares, pillars and artistic models in the round
passage are delightful.
