Mulnayak: Nearly 105 cms. high, black - colored idol of
Bhagawan Falvruddhi Parsvanath in the Padmasana posture.
Tirth: It is in the village of Medata Road.
Historicity: Associated with miracles of milk and sand, this
idol appeared from the hollow of the ground. It was variously installed in the year 1181
and 1199 of the Vikram era. By many rich merchants and sanghas, it was renovated in the
years 1552, 1653, 1935 and 1992 of the Vikram era. By bowing the head to this tirth in
various tirthkalps, one gets the benefit of pilgrimaging the 64 tirths. The secret of this
tirth is deep. By searching according to the dream of Shri Gopak Dhandhal this miraculous
idol was found and the work of its installation in the temple started. When the work
stopped for want of money, the presiding deity appeared and said them that they would
always find in front of the idol a swastik made of gold coins and the work would be
completed but nobody should came to know it. The presiding deity here is very miraculous.
During his invasion, Shahbuddin gave blows to this temple and the idol. The idol was
broken and, therefore, the Sultan fell ill, and began to suffer pains. Therefore, he
ordered his army to leave this temple unbroken. A fair is held here every year on the
tenth day of the dark half of the month of Bhadrapad and of the month Magasar.
Other Temples: There is another temple and Dadawadi near this temple.
Works of art and Sculpture: This is a very ancient and miraculous idol and
fulfills the wishes of the devotees who bow their head with full reverence. It is,
therefore, called Falvruddhi Parshvanath. The wall paintings of Bhagwan Mahavir and other
paintings are painted in an artistic style.
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Medata Road is only
and half a mile away from the tirth. The Medata city is at a distance of 15 kilometers.
