Mulnayak: Nearly 90 cms high,white-colored idol of Bhagawan
Mahavir in the Padmasana posture
Tirth: It is among the hills in a thick forest at a
distance of 17 kilometers from Sarupaganj.
Historicity: This tirth belongs to the times of Bhagawan
Mahavir. His elder brother, Nandivardhan, built here a splendid temple and installed the
idol here. This temple was renovated many times. In the past, this was, perhaps, a vast
city. This temple among the hills in the dreadful forest, reminds us of its antiquity.
This tirth is one of the Chhoti Marwad group of five tirths. The ancient temple of this
style in the pleasant and peaceful atmosphere in a lonely forest far away from the city is
indeed very rare.
Other Temples: There is no other temple.
Works of art and Sculpture: The idol of God is very fascinating and ancient. It
seems that God is sitting in a serious and calm posture. The natural beauty of this place
is beyond description. At night, one hears the cries of wild animals. The atmosphere of
night is delightful.
