Mulnayak: Nearly 27 cms high, black-colored idol of Bhagawan Girua Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture

Tirth: It is in the Amalner city.

Historicity: Though immerged in activities of wealth and its acquisition, the man who is devoted to religion cannot live without God. This tirth is an illustration of it. It is believed that the idol in this temple is 500 years old. In this holy place, Shri Sangha built this temple of Girua Parshvanath about the year 1920 of the Vikram era. Since it became old, the idol was installed in this splendid pinnaccled temple, under instruction of Acharya Vijayashodevji in the year 2007 of the Vikram era. When the original hood was broken, this idol was adorned with the eleven new hoods. The worship of Giruaji makes the worshippers religious. The diksha festival of 26 diksa-aspirants celebrated here in this decade, is a witness to it. Seventeen members of a single family accepted the path of self-restraint.

Other Temples: Shri Shamaliya Parshvanath is Mulnayak of this temple. But in the upper storey of this temple, the idol of Girua Parshvanath is Mulnayak. Besides this, there are three other temples and two temples in residential places.

Works of art and Sculpture: The idol of Girua Parshvanath in this splendid temple with there sanctuaries stirs up the hearts of devotees and leads them to the path of self-welfare. The shape of the new hood looking beautiful on the head of this idol, is attractive like a peacock’s art. The sculpture art of the parikar of the idol is also excellent and extraordinary. This idol awakens the Jain spirit of Jains and inspires them to practice spirituality. This temple was made by many idol-worshippers and shravakas in Maharashtra.

Guidelines: This temple is on the Surat-Bhusaval railway line. This tirth of Amalner, is at a distance of two kilometers from the main railway station, at a distance of 55 kilometers from Jalgaun and at a distance of 29 kilometers from Dulia. Bus service and private vehicles are available. There are Boarding and lodging provisions. Moreover, there are Upashrays an Ayambilshala and a Jnanabhandar.
