Mulnayak: White-coloured Bhagawan Mahavir Swami in the Padmasana posture.

Tirth: Jain Agams emerge from the speech of Tirthankara Bhagawan. 45 Agams are composed by rendering scriptural interpretation of the speech uttered by Bhagawan Mahavir. The importance of Agams began to spread since then under the inspiration of His Holiness Abhyudavsagarji and Navratnasagarji, the Agam mandir was built in the Shankheshvar Tirth in pious memory of Agamoddharak, His Holiness Acharyadev Sagaranandsurisvarji Maharaj Saheb and his succeeding prime disciple, his Holiness Acharyadev Shri Chandrasagarji Maharaj Saheb. The idol of Mulnayak Shri Mahavir Swami Bhagawan and other new idols were installed on the sixth day of the bright half of the month of Magh in the year 2035 of the Vikram era.

Other Temples: In the Shankheshvar tirth, there are many other great and spectacular idols. They all have their own history. All this belongs to the Shankheshvar tirth.

Works of art and Sculpture: In this temple, there are 42 idols besides that of the Mulnayak. The 45 Agams inscribed in the Prakrit language on copper-plates are displayed on the walls of the passage meant for going round the temple. On the backside of the temple, there is Siddhachakraji in the shape of a lotus. There are also the idols of Guru Gautam Swami and Bhagawana Sudharma Swami. The large piece of land of 15000 sq,. yards was donated by Sheth Shri Popatbhai Lallubhai of Bharuch for building the Agam mandir. Really, these Agams elaborately explain the essence of the Jain religion. This is a rare treasure of knowledge.

Guidelines: It is on the land of the Shankheshvar tirth on the main road near the town Harij. Bus service and private vehicles are available. There is a very comfortable dharmashala. There is also an upashray.

Trust: Shree Agam Mandir Mahavir Swami Jain Derasar Trust, Shankheshvar, Dist Mehsana, Gujarat State, India.
